My Story
I have been coaching writers, editing, proofreading, and endorsing books for decades and have authored Creating a Haven of Peace and Be Your Finest Art and five children’s books. I have an extensive background in blogging and newsletters and have been a guest on many podcasts, as well as having orchestrated and spoken at many writers’ workshops.
My husband, Dan Miller, NYT best-selling author of 48 Days to the Work and Life You Love, held Write to the Bank workshops for years. I learned a lot from helping with those workshops, speaking and challenging prospective authors to follow their hearts and birth the book that swirled around in their heads.
I am also an artist, painting mostly in acrylic, and have taught basic drawing skills to many budding artists. I believe each one of us is born creative in some form. We must believe in ourselves and tap into our creative nature in order to feel truly fulfilled. Creativity comes in many forms, and tapping into our God-given skills makes us more interesting to be around, allowing us to live fulfilled lives.
My husband unexpectedly passed away in early 2024 and I thank God for the 58 years I knew him. He was the wisest man I have ever known, and I learned so much from sharing life with him. I am blessed with three amazing adult children (all are writers) and their families, which include 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren…and my cat, Kitty Scarlet.
The Artist's Eye: Where Words and Images Converge
My lifelong practice as a visual artist infuses my editing work with a unique perspective. The same eye that finds harmony in color and composition helps me discover the rhythm and beauty in your words. This creative duality allows me to see not just what your manuscript is, but what it can become.
